My Pennsylvania Dutch rural roots instilled a deep love and appreciation for the land, environment, nature and history. This translates to a love that can be seen in the artwork, whether it is oils, watercolor, pen and ink illustration, or clay. All senses are involved in the creation of the finished piece. No matter what medium is used, it must reflect and enhance the nature of each piece to capture the soul, personality, and innate spark of the subject matter.
